Yesterday was a particularly satisfactory day. At the beginning of the day things looked bleak. We had appointments with the solicitor, and my wife had an appointment with a consultant at the local hospital. Worst of all our little dog was ill, considering her age and quality of life it was looking as though it may be a one way trip to the vets.

Come the end of the day things were not too bad. The solicitors went smoothly, the visit to consultant was good news and after a long chat with the vet, the inevitable has been put on hold for an indefinite period.

So in general the day was productive and positive.
This makes a pleasant change as normally most things turn to sh*t for me.

Obituary
With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed.

Larry La Prise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Cokey", died peacefully at age 84.

The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.

They put his left leg in, and then the trouble started.............................
