The general consensus in the press as to why the UKIP had such a high number of votes appears to be that it is a protest vote about the Iraq war.
I think not.
Me, and I suspect a lot of other people, are just fed up the nanny state and the interference from Brussels in our day to day lives.
Some of the stupid laws and regulations just drive people mad.
Have you ever come across a road works where there is a small hole in the road and the whole thing is controlled by traffic lights when it would be much easier and simpler not to have the lights and to just let people use there common sense. This is a result of European standardisation of roadwork’s guarding.
As part of the clean beaches campaign dogs are banned from beaches. The fact that people have had dogs on British beaches for thousands of years and no-one has died as a result of this does not seem important. It does not ‘fit’ with the grand Euro scheme.
The imposition of daft laws and the removal of common sense. The interference of the EU is now starting to bite and people are beginning to realise what the EU is all about. The removal of judgement and common sense.
